The guest experience at IslandLuxe Resorts properties is changing to accommodate an expected new normal when travel demand returns following the coronavirus pandemic. Committing to the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation, IslandLuxe Resorts properties have implemented extensive new health and safety protocols to their operation to respond to the COVID-19 situation and to provide protection for our guests, employees and associates.

Our protocols originate from and are mandated by:

  • The World Health Organization (WHO)

  • The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)

  • Local government agencies

Social Distancing Protocols

  • Reopening the hotels with reduced occupancies

  • Re positioning our public areas to provide maximum space and privacy

  • Limiting transfers and excursions to a maximum of 5 people, including driver/guide  

  • New enhanced protocols for spa services and more availability for in-room treatments (at no additional cost)

  • Maximizing table spacing in restaurants 

  • Increasing private dining and in room dining without additional costs (tray charges)

Cleaning and Sanitizing Protocols 

  • Convenient and abundant sanitizing amenities throughout the hotel for guests and staff usage 

  • Flexibility for guests to advise when and how frequently they would like their accommodation serviced 

  • A daily “three point” check of cleaning and sanitizing of guest rooms and public areas

  • An entire replacement and replenishment of all guest in-room amenities following each guest departure

  • Use of PPE for all staff 

  • Temperature checks of all staff and visitors daily (excluding guests)

  • House doctor on 24-hour call out

Country Guidelines

  • Aruba: Aruba has announced a tentative opening of the Queen Beatrix International Airport for some time between June 15 and July 1, 2020.

  • Curacao: Effective Friday May 8, 2020 until further notice, the Government of Curaçao has decided to maintain the Curaçao International Airport closed for all inbound passengers from all countries
